MUZAFFARPUR, The Motipur police in north Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district have lodged a murder case after bodies of two minor sisters were found hanging by a tree at a village on Sunday. The police suspected the double murder to be honour killings. Preliminary investigations revealed that the girls — Gudiya Kumari, 16, daughter of Dhodha Paswan and Gunja Kumari, 14, daughter of Jailal Paswan, both cousins — were involved in separate love affairs, the police said. The family members had cremated their bodies and were absconding, the police said. This had raised suspicion that they intentionally tried to destroy evidence, the police added.. DELHI, A 14-year-old boy was stabbed in his thigh and chest by two of his classmates outside their school in Delhi’s Rohini area while he was on his way back home on Friday evening, reports Times of India.Amar Farooq was in a critical condition for two days and stabilised only on Sunday evening. The culprits are currently absconding.Farooq, who was admitted to the government school just last year, said the two boys had been harassing him since the day he had joined school. FAZILKA, Three youths allegedly GANGRAPED a 17-year-old girl on October 25 in Fazilka municipality in Punjab, The Indian Express reported on Monday. The girl died on Sunday of profuse bleeding after her family refused to take her to a hospital, police said. The girl, a Class 11 student, was allegedly abducted on her way to school, gangraped and dumped in some bushes, from where her family discovered her. “The family took it as a blot on their honour,” Jalalabad Deputy Superintendent of Police Amarjit Singh said. “It is an extremely backward area. DEHRADUN, Unable to deal with trauma, a 20-year-old rape victim committed suicide in Jaunsar area of Dehradun district, making it the second such tragedy within a week in Uttarakhand.On  Friday, the woman was rushed to a hospital in Vikasnagar, around 40 km from Dehradun, after she gulped down a poisonous liquid. DELHI, A 14-yr-old boy died today when his head hit a wall after he was allegedly pushed by one of his classmates during a scuffle in a school here, the police said.The incident was reported from northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar and the boy, who had pushed the victim, has been apprehended, they said. The father and son duo, relatives of the girls residing at Manjri, went missing after the FIR was lodged. The organisation asked was conducting a poll where it asked experts which of the world’s megacities are safe for women and which cities can do more to make sure its women do not face sexual violence and harassment and other harmful cultural practices and make sure that they have equal access to healthcare, finance and education. The survey was conducted in 19 of the world's biggest megacities (as ranked by the United Nations) between June and July 2017. Delhi ranks fourth after Cairo, Karachi and Kinshasa (Congo).
