SURAT, Body of a seven-year-old GIRL was found from the bushes on Jiav-Budia road under the limits of Pandesara police station in the city on Friday. The unidentified GIRL was brutally beaten and RAPED before being strangled to death by her assailant. Police registered a case of murder with RAPE after forensic postmortem and booked her unidentified assailant under the Indian Penal Code sections and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act). Justice AM Badar earlier this week dismissed the appeals of Dattatraya Korde, Ganesh Pardeshi, Pintu Khoskar and Ganesh Zole, who had challenged a sessions court order of April 2013 sentencing them to 10 years in jail for GANG-RAPE. RAJKOT, Two persons were sentenced to 10 years in prison on Tuesday for RAPING a 14-year-old GIRL with learning difficulties several times near the Race Course area and at her residence about two years ago.
