WOMAN groped, MOLESTED while breastfeeding her baby in hospital ward
MUMBAI,
25-year-old WOMAN was admitted to Kalwa civil hospital in Mumbai a few days ago. On December 7, she gave birth to a baby GIRL through C-section. However, the infant was diagnosed with jaundice and had to be admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). On December 11 at around 5 AM, she was breastfeeding her baby, when she saw a man entering the ward. He was wearing a doctor's coat and had covered his face with a mask. She didn't think much of it until he came closer. What he did next was unimaginable. He came near her and groped her! "I was startled and pushed him away but he grabbed my clothes. I managed to run out of the ward with my child," she said in her complaint to the police.According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, Officers from Kalwa Police Station said the hospital staff was rounded up but the complainant couldn't identify the accused. "We are checking the CCTV footage to determine whether the accused is a hospital staffer or an outsider," Senior Inspector Shekhar Badge said.Though, the WOMAN ran out of the ward with her baby, she is traumatized due to what happened to her. It's no secret that WOMEN in this country are not safe on roads, buses, cabs, and even inside their homes. But, it seems they are unsafe in hospital wards too. In fact, we have come across various reports in the past, where women patients have been MOLESTED and SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by hospital staff. Unfortunately, these incidents just refuse to die down.
Moreover, WOMEN have often been shamed for publicly breastfeeding their babies. Some find it offensive, while some find it inappropriate. However, what people don't realize is that instead of focusing their attention to such inane discussions, they should rather feel outraged at such ghastly incidents. If WOMEN are not safe breastfeeding their babies in private, do we really have left anything in this world to live for?
We are the descendants of Great Mrtyr and Ancestors of this Great Nation want to end war we are fighting with in our society. Let's take a step towards tomorrow to make this world a better place to live in.
