39-year-old man gets 5 years in jail for MOLESTING Class I GIRL.

MUMBAI,

A special court sentenced a 39-year-old man to five years in jail for molesting a Class I student in 2013. The accused, who stayed in the same neighbourhood and was acquainted with the GIRL, took her inside a toilet and MOLESTED her.The victim had deposed that at the time of the incident, there was a vacation in her school and she had been playing in a temple near her home. When the victim raised the alarm, the accused ran away. According to the Newspaper, She then went home and informed her mother about the incident.The GIRL'S parents approached the police and an FIR was registered against the accused under Section 354 (sexual harassment) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The justice came after four years. Do you think the punishment is severe as to bring a change in the rate of crime. The man ruined the life of a 5 year old GIRL and the man will be free after 5 years. What is the surety that he will not repeat the crime again.Should there be more severe punishment for those who RAPE minor GIRLS?

Her family came to attend a wedding in February before the lockdown. That’s where this incident happen. The guy came and took her from her mother’s lap in order to play with her.  2 hours later when they decided to go hone, They started looking for her and the cousin but both were no where to be found.
