35-year old held for ABDUCTION, RAPE of MINOR.

Satara police have arrested a man for abducting his 15-year-old niece on the pretext of marrying her. The man repeatedly RAPED the minor while they were on the run.The 35-year-old accused hails from the city's Kanchanwadi area. He allegedly abducted the minor, a school-going GIRL and fled , As Reported By TOI. According to the Newspaper,Based on a complaint lodged by survivor's mother, Satara police registered a case against the accused in November first week. An offence has been registered against him for abduction and different sections of Protection of Children from SEXUAL Offences (Pocso) Act. The survivor is a resident of same area and is currently pursuing Class X at a local school. Inspector Bharat Kakde said, "Following the tip-off, the accused was arrested from Manmad and the GIRL was rescued. Following the incident, WOMEN activists have come forward demanding speedy trial and exemplary punishment to the accused for committing the crime.

The uncle abducted the minor and took advantage of her emotional and physical weakness. He misled the school going GIRL only for his own selfish needs. Is it not the duty of elders to guide the young but what will you say when the elders themselves ruin the life of the young ones of their family?

Her family came to attend a wedding in February before the lockdown. That’s where this incident happen. The guy came and took her from her mother’s lap in order to play with her.  2 hours later when they decided to go hone, They started looking for her and the cousin but both were no where to be found.
