RAPE victim writes letter to MP for justice

KAITHAL,

How can one play with the feelings if othe. One side you are planning to marry a girl and on the other hand you r not even respecting as a girl.

A rape victim has written a letter to Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini urging him to help her get justice. She has alleged that she hasn’t got justice from the local authorities. She was allegedly blackmailed and forced into flesh trade.

The victim, in the three-page handwritten letter, has not given any address or contact number though she has mentioned her name and stated that she is a Kaithal resident. She has stated that she is a college student and had developed friendship with a boy living in a nearby village. The boy, a hotelier, had promised to marry her. He took her to his hotel and allegedly raped her on several occasions.

She alleges that the boy’s maternal uncle also sexually exploited her. When she resisted, her boyfriend told her that he had recorded her video and would post it on social media.

She was blackmailed and called to the hotel several times and raped. She alleges in the letter that the hotelier is blackmailing and exploiting another eight to 10 girls in a similar fashion and has pushed them into flesh trade.

She says her mother has died and her father is a daily wage earner. She has two younger siblings and it is their love that is keeping her alive. She had once complained at police control room number 100 but no action was taken to free her from her tormentors. The police instead informed the hotelier. The accused allegedly beat her up in the presence of the police.

Meanwhile, the MP has appealed to the rape victim through the media to come forward and contact him. He has assured her of justice. Saini says he contacted Deputy Commissioner Sunita Verma to know whether she had also received a letter from the rape victim. She told him that she did receive a letter and has sent it to the Superintendent of Police (SP) for necessary action.

SP Sumer Partap Singh said he had marked the letter to the CIA-2 for investigation and action.

However, as no address or contact number is mentioned in the letter, the police are unable to trace the victim and move further in the case.

The SP said. “I appeal to the victim to contact me or any other senior police official in the matter. I assure her that her identity will not be disclosed and secrecy will be maintained during investigation”.

Finally a hope if Justice has been seen in the case. Hopefully the convict will be behind the bars soon.
