CHANDIGARH: The son of a policeman was booked on Saturday for allegedly RAPING a minor girl when she was found four month pregnant after being admitted to the local government hospital on Saturday.
A case has been registered under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and sections 4, 8 and 12 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.
According to the complaint filed with the police, it was alleged that the accused allegedly lured the minor girl and started taking her to different places.
He allegedly repeatedly raped her over a period of time.
The matter came to light when the 14year-old developed complications and reported pain in her stomach. On being taken to the doctor, she was diagnosed to be four-month pregnant. Following that, her parents coaxed her into revealing the name of the accused and reported the matter to the police. According to the police, the case has been registered but the accused was yet to be arrested.
Patiala superintendent of police (city) Kesar Singh said the matter would be put before the court for a decision on the termination of the girl's pregnancy.

Teacher in Sambhal arrested for SEXUALLY MOLESTING student in school.
