Woman gangraped in Jalandhar village, three accused at large
Jalandhar, Sept. 29 -- Police have registered a case against three people in Adampur police station of Jalandhar district for allegedly raping a married woman on September 21.
The complainant has alleged that she was gangraped in Kotli Dhan Singh village on September 21. She added that the accused threatened her with dire consequences, because of which she remained silent for a week. On Thursday, she lodged a police complaint.
Police have registered a case under sections 376-D (gangrape), 379 (theft), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code at Adampur police station. Three locals-Kancha, Kalu, and Ghugh-are accused of the crime.
