Uttrakhand: Minor GANG RAPE in Leh

KULLU, SEPtember 24

A minor girl from Uttarakhand has allegedly been gangraped in Leh.

The 12-year-old victim told the Kullu police yesterday that about 16 days ago, she, along with another minor girl from Uttarakhand, was taken to Leh in Jammu and Kashmir by some youths on the pretext of job.

She alleged that she was raped by them in Leh and later handed her over to a truck driver. The police said she had stated that the truck driver also repeatedly raped her and left her in Jammu.

The victim said she managed to come to Kullu and narrated the incident to the police. She told the police that she was not aware about the other girl as both of them were taken to separate places upon reaching Leh. District Child Welfare Officer Virender Singh Arya said the girl was being looked after by the department and would be provided protection till the case solved.

Kullu SP Shalini Agnihotri said the girl was spotted by the police at Sarwari bus station on Friday and she said her parents were from Nepal and were residing in Uttarakhand. The police handed her over to the Child Welfare Department.

The SP said the parents of the victim had been approached and a case had been registered. She said further investigation in the case was under way and further action would be taken after the arrival of the victim’s parents.

Teacher in Sambhal arrested for SEXUALLY MOLESTING student in school.

UTTAR-PRADESH, A case of SEXUAL MOLESTATION of an 11- year old by a primary school teacher in Sambhal has emerged.The incident took place in Thana Rajpura area of Sambhal district.
