RAPE charges in letter to PM :cops at wits' end

The police have failed to make a breakthrough in the alleged rape case of a student of Om Public School at Gohana, who had written an anonymous complaint to the PM.

Auto driver attempts SUICIDE at Burail jail

CHANDIGARH, The 29-year-old auto driver arrested for GANG RAPE tried to commit suicide at the Burail jail this morning. The accused inflicted injuries on his stomach with a broken glass. Mohammad Irfan, arrested by the Chandigarh Police for the  of GANG RAPE of a 22-year-old GIRL, attempted suicide in the jail at 8.05 am. Irfan broke a mirror installed outside the barracks for the inmates by punching it. He then stabbed himself in the stomach using the broken glass. He was lodged in Barrack No. 10 of the jail. The jail authorities informed the police after which the accused was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, under tight security. He was admitted to the emergency ward. Doctors at the hospital said Irfan had three wounds, which were not deep. 53-Year-old High Court lawyer arrested for marrying and repeatedly RAPING a 15-year-old GIRL.

MUMBAI, 53-year-old Bombay high court lawyer has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act court for marrying a 15-year-old in 2015 and repeatedly RAPING her.The accused, also father to a 15-year-old GIRL, was arrested last week and sent to judicial custody by the special court on Thursday. The grandparents of the minor, who had allegedly forced her into the marriage, have been also named as accused and are wanted in the case.The accused married the minor after his first wife’s death in 2014. The complaint was filed by the now 17-yearold minor on December 13. In the remand application submitted before the court, the cops said the minor lived in a village with her grandparents and visited her parents during school vacations.
