6 Girls Were Drugged & Sexually Harassed by the Staff of an Orphanage in Himachal Pradesh

It's been a few days since three employees of a government-run orphanage for girls were arrested under the charges of sexually harassing a 15-year-old girl, and now, another incident of exploitation has come to light. The incident is of Balika Ashram, in Chilli village of the Tissa subdivision, where six inmates allegedly told officials that they were drugged and then harassed.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the six girls were all aged between 11 to 18 years of age. Reportedly, the counsellors said that the children always used to feel sleepy after having dinner and remained drowsy till late the next morning. "The girls said they felt something wrong had happened with them at night," an anonymous source said. The girls have pressed the charges against a clerk, a cook, and a sweeper of the orphanage.

The incident came to light when a 15-year-old survivor complained about the harassment to the orphanage in-charge Juma Khan. After her complaint, all the other 33 girls were also counselled and then five other girls came forward. The accused have been reportedly arrested under the Section 354A (punishment for sexual harassment) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and Section 12 of POCSO Act, Superintendent of Police Virender Tomar said.
The police officials are also trying to collect evidence by seizing CCTV footage of the orphanage.

The girls have now been shifted to a Balika Ashram in Chamba and security has also been increased in the hostel. The girls were also medically examined and the reports are supposed come out soon.Also, the three accused will be produced in a court today.

Teacher in Sambhal arrested for SEXUALLY MOLESTING student in school.

UTTAR-PRADESH, A case of SEXUAL MOLESTATION of an 11- year old by a primary school teacher in Sambhal has emerged.The incident took place in Thana Rajpura area of Sambhal district.
